Feelings of low confidence and self-esteem are related to inner self worth, feeling good enough, worthy or loveable and are often deeply rooted in the subconscious. They can affect our every thought, feeling and action and can manifest in a variety of ways, such as lack of motivation, low self image and negativity, feeling tired, depression and much more.
Often, issues with self-esteem and confidence can stem from our childhood. We tend to hold on to the negative stuff and push aside all the positive experiences we have. Our relationships with our parents, family, friends, and teachers can shape the opinions we hold about ourselves and during adolescence we tend to struggle to feel comfortable in our bodies and/or accepted by our peers.
